DETAIL SPECIFICATION
PANELBOARDS, POWER DISTRIBUTION, PORTABLE,
WEATHERPROOF, GENERAL SPECIFICATION FOR

This specification is approved for use by all departments and agencies of the Department
of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers electric power distribution panelboards, hereinafter
referred to as distribution panels, mounted in portable weatherproof housings.
1.2 Classification. The distribution panels will be of the following types, classes, and
configurations, as specified in the applicable specification sheet (see 6.2):
Type I - Transformerless type distribution panels.
Type II - Transformer type distribution panels.
Class 1 - 3-phase 60 Hertz (Hz) input power.
Class 2 - 1-phase 60 Hz input power.
Configuration ( ) - As delineated in the applicable specification sheet title.
